BUILD UP TIME

In order to meet the Transport Canada requirements for a Commercial Pilot's Licence, the applicant must have a total of 200 hours of flight time. The Flight Training Course for a Private Pilot Licence includes a minimum of 45 hours of flight time and the Flight Training Course for a Commercial Pilot Licence includes 65 hours of flight time.

These combined hours from Private and Commercial Flight Training add up to 110 hours total flight time. Therefore, Commercial Pilot applicants must acquire an additional 90 hours of flight time.

Required Hours Rate / Hr. Aircraft Type Total Cost
90 hours $155.00 Cessna 172 $13,950.00 *
* taxes may apply

The amount of "build up" time and the cost is dependent on how many hours the pilot has upon enrollment in the Commercial Pilot Course. We have based the above quote on having only 45 hours from the Private Pilot Course upon enrollment in the Commercial Pilot Course.
